It was a hot summer night when a boy named Jason and he’s girlfriend Jennie went to the seashore to watch the stars. When they got there, Jason found a very old pocket watch and gave it as a present to Jennie.
They were laying in the sands and watching them a long time, they were very bright, and the sky was crystal clear, there wasn’t even a single could. The moon made the earth bright as it was a day. Suddenly Jason heard something in the sea, it wasn’t a sound of wave, it was something different. Jason stood up to take a look in the sea. He didn’t believed what he saw, he saw a bright glowing ship that was approaching them. He asked Jennie to stand up and he pointed the way where she had to look, she saw the same. They both were scared but also they were curious, Jason asked Jennie what will they do, and they decided to stay and watch what will happen.
The ship approached very fast, it looked like a pirate ship or something familiar. When ship was almost to the shore Jason took Jennie’s hand and told her that they can still run away, but she told him that she want to stay. When the ship was really close they saw that it wasn’t swimming in the sea, it was flying in mid air. It finaly flew on the shore, everything stopped, the wind, sound of the waves. Finally some one appeared on the deck, it was a captain of the ship.
He didn’t look scary, he wasn’t all bones like in some stories, he was an ordinary man, just, he was glowing bright red. Soon all crew was on deck, the captain asked a boy if he could come on board, but boy answered that he won’t go anywhere without Jennie and he grabbed her hand stronger. The captain wasn’t pleased, he looked angry, but he asked again, this time he told the truth, that he can’t get off the ship because of the some kind of curse, he begged them to come on board. They both finally agreed to get on board.
The captain told them the whole story about his crew and a curse. Jason and Jennie were listening very carefully, they were excited. When the captain told everything he asked them to do a favor, it wasn’t anything hard. So Jason and Jennie agreed to help them. The crew was wondering many seas for eternity because they lost a very precious thing, it was an old pocket watch. They lost it somewhere in the sea. At first Jason thought that it was impossible to find something that has drown in the sea, but the captain told that the ship appears only on shores where the watch has been washed to the shore. At that moment Jennie remembered the watch that Jason gave her. She told Jason sorry and gave the watch to the captain.
The captain was thankful and told them that he and his crew now can rest in peace, but before they faded they left a little gift for Jennie, it was an old gold coin.
